Mall of America® Foundation for Youth
Mission Statement:

Mall of America Foundation for Youth (MOAFY) operates exclusively to provide support for and create opportunities that promote the self-development, well being and education of youth, their families and their communities.

MOAFY was formed in 1997 with the intent to partner with community, business and/or government organizations that provide or support programs serving the needs of youth.

Since 1997, MOAFY has teamed up with numerous charities and organizations all across the country; donating over a half million dollars to date, as well as support.

Mall of America Foundation for Youth cannot fund:
  • Individuals - except for Mall of America Foundation for Youth scholarships
  • Organizations not determined by the IRS to be a tax-exempt under 501 (c)(3)
  • National or regional organizations, unless their programs address specific local community needs
  • Programs or initiatives where the purpose is the promotion of religious doctrine
  • Elementary or secondary schools (except to provide to special initiatives or programs not provided by regular school budgets)
  • Political action or legislative advocacy groups
  • Multiple-year pledge campaigns
  • Medical or research organizations
  • Fraternal groups, athletic teams, bands, veteran's organizations, volunteer firefighters or similar groups.
  • Support of operating or advertising expenses
  • Causes or programs unrelated to Mall of America Foundation for Youth mission statement
